Growers United scores a Hat-Trick at the Wychavon Community Recognition Awards

On Tuesday 15th March 2016, Growers United FC representatives Bal Padda and Vito Mauro attended the Wychavon Community Recognition Awards 2016 in Worcester.

Numerous awards were presented on the evening to individuals, groups and businesses that have gone above and beyond to help the local community in different ways.

Growers United was listed in both the ‘Community Project Award’ and ‘Community Group Award’ which were both very well represented and contested. But it seems that all the hard work and commitment from everyone at Growers United has paid off and is becoming recognized within the community as they swooped both awards.

Since the start in 2012, Growers United has worked tirelessly towards helping integrate communities, cultures and businesses whilst promoting agriculture and horticulture within the region, and more importantly, raising money for numerous charities.

There was also a third category, ‘the Volunteer Award’, that captured the audiences attention as both Growers United representatives Bal Padda and Vito Mauro were listed for their dedication and efforts for raising the regions profile and helping the community, and it came with no surprise when they also won this award making it a clean sweep and Hat-Trick of awards for Growers United FC!
